Welcome to the Hudson River Greenway WATER TRAIL
A 256-mile paddler's dream, extending from northern Saratoga County in the Adirondack Park and northern Washington County at the head of Lake Champlain, to Battery Park in Manhattan.
The Hudson River Greenway Water Trail is a National Water Trail and is open to recreational paddlers of all experience levels. With more than 100 designated access sites, the Water Trail is easily accessible to local and visiting paddlers.
Come visit for a day or a week; you'll want to come back for a lifetime! We welcome all paddlers to use the services and information offered on this site, and we hope it helps
you enjoy your time on the river.
The Hudson River Greenway Water Trail was developed with the goal of providing one or more designated launches and take-outs every 10 miles along both shores of the river; a series of campsites every 15 miles that promote multi-day excursions on the river; and access to as many day use attractions as possible. Day-use attractions vary from wildlife marshes, islands, and swamps, to historic sites, downtowns, and hiking trails.
Try the interactive PLAN YOUR TRIP feature that will help you decide where to launch and take out, including tide information and real-time weather, too.
