Description:
The Croton River Tour is a great way to enjoy kayaking in a more serene and protected environment. Basic kayak instruction and a safety talk will be given before we start on our adventure. The Croton River is rich with wildlife such as Osprey, Hawks, and Herons and runs passed the Historic Van Cortlandt Manor, a pre-revolutionary estate. It is possible to enter into the Hudson River in the Croton Bay and paddle to Teller's Point (Croton Point) where we will take in great views down the Hudson River and even get a glimpse of the Tappan Zee Bridge.
